Power Generation

Power Generation: Committed to Reliability and Efficiency

We have extensive experience in all types of energy generation, both conventional and renewable. Our work takes place in key facilities for the energy system, applying the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. We understand energy generation as an essential process for industrial and social development. Therefore, we actively participate in projects related to two major areas:

Conventional Energy

Conventional power generation comprises the set of technologies that transform primary sources such as uranium, natural gas, or oil into electricity.

In this category, our activity is carried out in the following types of plants, among others:

Nuclear Power Plants

They generate electricity from the nuclear fission of uranium in a reactor. The controlled chain reaction releases a large amount of heat, which is used to produce steam and power turbines connected to electric generators. These facilities are characterized by their high continuous generation capacity and the absence of CO₂ emissions during operation.

Combined Cycle Power Plants

They combine two generation processes. First, a gas turbine produces electricity by burning natural gas. The waste heat from this process is used to generate steam that drives a second turbine, thus achieving greater energy efficiency.

Cogeneration Plants

These are installations that simultaneously produce electricity and useful heat from a single fuel, usually natural gas. This heat is used in industrial processes or for heating, which significantly increases the overall efficiency of the system.

These facilities are a fundamental part of the current energy mix, as they offer stable, predictable production that can be adjusted to meet demand. At TAMOIN, we contribute to making this energy increasingly safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Renewable Energy

Renewable energy generation is a key strategic pillar in the transition to a sustainable energy model. Using natural resources such as water, sunlight, and biomass, we produce clean, renewable electricity, which contributes to reducing emissions and meeting decarbonization targets.

Hydroelectric Power Plants

These facilities harness the energy of moving water, typically stored in reservoirs or rivers, to generate electricity using hydraulic turbines connected to electric generators. They are characterized as one of the most stable renewable energy sources and have the greatest energy storage capacity.

Concentrated Solar Power Plants

They work by harnessing solar radiation to heat a fluid, which is then used to produce steam and power turbines that generate electricity. Their main advantage is the ability to incorporate thermal storage systems that allow energy to be generated even in the absence of sunlight.

Biomass Power Plants

They use organic matter from agricultural, forestry, or industrial waste to produce thermal and electrical energy. The biomass is burned or transformed into biogas, releasing the energy contained in these materials and converting it into electricity. It is a renewable source that also contributes to the use of byproducts and the reduction of waste.
